Utah Workshop {a little break from the classroom}

Again, this was a wonderful opportunity for Greg and I to have some “us” time away from the kids and to gain some new perspectives for the art of photography! We loved the time we spent together learning techniques with other photographers in a classroom setting like we were in college all over again. And then, taking a break to photograph a few of the local girls. It was such a fun and rewarding experience, which added another page to our story as a husband & wife photography team!

A trip to Utah

So, I’m sitting here with my girls on the first official day of spring vacation and I am brought back to a quieter time. With all the commotion around me, I’m reminded of a trip I took with Greg a few months back.

We rarely get away alone, but thanks to amazing family and friends we were able to travel out west for some time to ourselves. Where did we go- Utah! Why Utah? We had the wonderful opportunity to attend a photography workshop, as well as, visit with some of my family. So we packed our bags and left our little ones in the hands of those we trust the most, and were off.

So, as much as I absolutely love this time with my girls, I still savor that alone time I had with my hubby!

Two Thousand and Eleven was an amazing beginning for Melissa and I. We set out on a new road after having worked with such amazing artists in photography over the past few years. Our Desire… to leave a memorable impression in the lives of the Brides and Grooms that honored us with the privilege to capture the story of their Wedding Day. As we publish our last wedding of 2011, we reflect back on this wonderful journey we’ve taken, and look forward to writing another beautiful, unique, and compelling chapter on these unwritten pages of 2012. So often we take photos of other families and couples, we thought it would be great to post our own family session we put together this pass Fall. We had so much fun with our girls and enjoyed the day together as a family. Our four charismatic, spirited, and oh-so entertaining girls are our life and the reason that we have taken hold of photography and haven’t looked back. They find joy and love in the simplicities of life and show us everyday that creativity is seldom perfected, but is worth the effort to take a few steps and a hop outside of the box.
